I went on a fabric binge. Sigh. So, this is a set of linen fate eighths ordered from S Korea. Ive got more fabric coming from China soon, too!

Haha! I have this as the lock screen on my phone. If I see this and I’m not sewing, I feel guilty!

Chris Hemsworth looks delicious in this photo.

This set of fabrics is SO adorable! I originally saw this fabric in the Zakka Style Sew Along Flickr group and I just had to have it!

Quilt top is done! This one’s coming along nicely. Not sure if I’m going to quilt this any time soon. I’m in the mood to make more quilt tops. :) But. It’s part of the Zakka Style sew along, so I need to finish it… Right?

Ahh! I love this quilt top so far, I’m using the Melody Miller linen. I’m trying to see if I can finish it by next week. The quilting on it should be fairly easy, I’m thinking of just doing straight lines. I’m not so adventurous to try stippling or anything, yet.

Ohh I’m in love! This is a thick cotton/linen fabric and the designs on it are slightly retro and all the way awesome! A wonderful girl at Whipstitch Fabrics recommended it for a quilt I was planning. I’ll give a sneak peek of that quilt soon enough!

Project 7 is the Raincloud Mug Rug. When I first saw this project in the book, I was excited. I’ve wanted to try my hand at a mug rug as a way to practice binding without having a HUGE quilt. My only problem was that the original design of it wasn’t something that I would create.
I used felt for my rain clouds and tried out a blanket stitch (for the first time!) to affix them. I think it turned out well. I think I’ll try this project again but practicing quilt blocks!

Project 6 in Zakka Style are these itty bitty quilt block magnets. The premise was to take a quilt block pattern and miniaturize it down to a 2 inch by 2 inch block. Gosh were these a bitch to make. I don’t know if I’d remake these… maybe if someone begged me. There were all these super tiny squares to cut out. Son of a bitch, I hate precision cutting fabric. The actual piecing wasn’t too bad and they turned out pretty cute.
The good thing about creating them was at least I now understand how to make the different types of quilt blocks. Silver lining, people. Silver lining.
